Just because you want shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep, doesn’t mean you have to compromise on peace and quiet. Not at these villas. This pair of whitewashed villas, known as Villa Bahia 35 and Villa Colina 36, sit side by side in a smart residential street. So you’ve got serenity on tap. But everything you could want resort-wise is an easy stroll away. You can even be on big sandy beach in less than ten minutes. It’s a bit of a steep walk, though, so the little train might be a better option with kids.

When you’re not out and about, there’s no better place to take it easy than by the villas private pools. They don’t scrimp on size and come with spacious patios which are accessorised with sun beds, parasols and pretty flower beds. You’ll also find a barbeque and a terrace with a dining table for al fresco meals. And Villa Colina 36 has the added bonus roof terrace, where you can glimpse the sea and Mount Toro in the distance.

Inside, the villas are light, spacious and fuss-free with crisp white walls, tiled floors and pine furnishings. There’s an open-plan dining area and lounge with a TV and video. Plus a fully-fitted kitchen with extras like a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. You’ll also find three good-sized bedrooms, one of which is a double.
